Fifth Third Bank (Eastern Michigan) is honoring military heroes by presenting the inaugural Fifth Third Bank Vets Fest.
It will take place from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 7 at Hart Plaza located at 1 Hart Plaza in Detroit. Admission is free.
The Fifth Third Bank Vets Fest is a gala that will feature a warming tent, music, military machinery, food booths and tables staffed by agencies that provide services to veterans and their families. The Fifth Third Bank Vets Fest will be held in conjunction with the Downtown Detroit Veterans Parade, which takes place along Jefferson Avenue and concludes at Hart Plaza at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Veterans causes are among the key community relations initiatives for Fifth Third Bank. This support culminates in a very public way each November, the month of Veterans Day, according to David Girodat, regional president for Fifth Third Bank (Eastern Michigan).
“Americans cannot do enough to thank our heroes for their service, especially those who made the ultimate sacrifice,” Girodat said. “By expanding the downtown Detroit festivities traditionally held the weekend before Veterans Day, we are hoping more people will attend and give our brave soldiers the respect they deserve.”
