A layered individual – This is perhaps the best way to describe Jamar Hart. He specializes in fashion styling, but beyond that, Hart sees himself as an artist who loves to create. As a young man driven by his creativity, passion and hard work, Hart is undoubtedly a Detroit icon in the making.
Hart, or Granddaddy Rozay (as he is also known), is the creator of the Glassfresh Styling brand. His brand and talents have already allowed him to work with some of the city’s most prominent names and figures; however, Hart remains hungry, looking to progress and learn more about the fashion industry.
Granddaddy Rozay is definitely a man on the move, but he took the time out to share a bit about his Glassfresh Styling brand, his vision and everything in between (including a few fashion tips).

Tell me about the inspiration behind your fashion sense. Where do you get it come from?
I get my inspiration from my fellow peers and admirers of my work. I also get inspired by traveling the world and opening my mind to new things and being complex. The world is so big and diverse, that alone will give you more than enough inspiration
Glassfresh Styling: What’s the idea behind it? When did you decide to make it a real live business?
Well I’ve been wardrobe styling for a year or more now and it really came naturally. I’ve always been a fashion-forward type of guy with a distinctive style and a deep passion for fashion.  Glassfresh Styling is under my Glasshouse Entertainment company. We specialize in wardrobe styling and personal shopping, as well as creative directing. The name Glassfresh Styling represents a fresh, fly, clean-cut and fashion-forward lifestyle. Being dapper, clean and beautiful and having self-confidence is what I want to bring to the world and Glassfresh styling will achieve that goal one person at a time.
Giving your expert opinion, if I was looking to “Dress to Impress”, what would be the first (universal) rule of fashion that I would need to know?
I would say Own it. When you have confidence in what you’re wearing, it can translate to so much more. People will approach you differently. Think about it. An outfit helps enhance a person, but the person can make it a statement.
What would be the most important piece of clothing (for men, for women) in any ensemble or outfit? Most important accessory?
When it comes to finalizing an ensemble, your jewelry has to be one of the most important factors; it can make or break your look. The right accessories can bring an eccentric vibe to a simple everyday casual ensemble. I am a big fan of accessories and custom vintage pieces. The right ones can bring an outfit to life. For men: belts, shades, and a nice chain works great. For Women: earrings, bracelets, and the right purse choice (including clutches). Less is more, but dare to be different.
Talk about some of the work you’ve done in the Detroit fashion landscape? How do you feel about the Detroit Fashion landscape?
I’ve worked with numerous people, from rapper Royce Da 5’9, to Best-Selling author Eddie Connor, (Detroit Native) Henry Spencer of Golden Hanger Designs & FreeWorld Eyewear [all of whom are] some of the best and the list goes on and on. I’ve also worked with a lot of established designers as well as emerging designers. Detroit is naturally fashionable. I think people overlook that sometimes. I would say Detroit’s fashion is flashy, street and original.
I know you’ve been making moves around the country. Where else have your fashion talents taken you?
I’ve been fortunate to travel to the major fashion hubs of the US including NYC and LA. I would love to start working internationally at this point. It’s so much inspiration everywhere. I believe exploring the world can also help your sense of style evolve and excel to the next level. I’m grateful for the places my career has taken me and I’m anxious to see where it will take me next.
Going forward, what can we expect from Jamar Hart (Granddaddy Rozay) and Glassfresh Styling?
I’m going to take over the world of fashion and change the game. I want to bring a different style to fashion, a fashion that will make everyone dare to be different and continue building my brand into an empire. Last but not least, I have a few special projects on the horizon. I have a collaboration with an amazing designer, some new clients and you might catch me back on the runway…so stay tuned.
