Erika Lawrence, Assistant Product Manager, Digital Innovation at General Motors (GM), leads eCommerce strategy and execution for consumer-based solutions to enhance shopping and buying experiences. Erika leverages design thinking methodology to ideate solutions being implemented on a national and international scale.

Her work plays a significant role in impacting the company’s bottom line sales metrics through new revenue streams. Additionally, she is integrated into several teams focused on influencing the company culture and talent development. Erika leads communication efforts for GM’s Women employee resource group and United Negro College Fund (UNCF) fundraising activities. Additionally, she is part of an executive leadership team implementing GM’s ally strategy.

Erika serves on boards including the Soulcial Scene and the Barack Obama Leadership Academy Foundation. She is also a part of Detroit’s budding entrepreneurial scene where she helped launch a daily affirmations app, iShallBe; and a core team member bringing AfroTech to Detroit.

Erika, a Michigan native, has worked in other parts of the country and recently returned to the Detroit area. She is a decorated La Salle University alumna and member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
