Emergency Red Cross Community Blood Drive in Southfield August 20

Blood reserves are currently at critically low levels in metro Detroit area and the need for blood donations is greater than ever. Everyone who is able to donate blood is strongly encouraged to do so. In order to donate blood, donors must be at least 17-years-old, weigh at least 110 pounds, and be in good general health. There is no upper age limit. Light refreshments will be available. Appointments are encouraged and can be made online at www.redcrossblood.org, enter the sponsor code: Southfield; or by calling Southfield Emergency Management at (248) 796-5990, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Please bring your Red Cross blood donor card or other form of I.D. when donating. The first 50 people who register and show up for their appointment will receive a complimentary Quick Lane Oil Change gift certificate for a free oil change (a $20 value).
