In the Game for 08-26-09

The laws of physics scientifically denote that the human body can only run so fast, because there is a point where the muscles will shatter or explode and smash into smithereens when pushed beyond their physical boundaries. The
proof is the number of track athletes who have leg injuries and are forced to miss the Olympics or World Championships.

With this reality, the question is just how much faster can Bolt run?

What I like about him is he has a Carl Lewis body, but he is taller than Lewis. The 6-foot-5, lanky Bolt is not the traditional compact muscled sprinter and that’s what is strange about him. In most cases, tall sprinters have a harder time getting out the blocks and getting the legs churning in short sprints. That was Bolt’s predicament early on in trying to learn the nuances of world class sprinting.

Well, he has mastered the art of getting out the block and his reaction time is excellent. What makes him scary is the turnover he generates with that never-seen-before long stride.

I suspect he is at his peak and it will be very hard to go too much faster. Doing so is almost impossible.
