The Education Achievement Authority will host the first annual back-to-school Free Haircut day on Sunday, September 4, 2016. In an effort to support local businesses near EAA schools, the organization has teamed up with local barbers to give away at least 75 free haircuts to students in need.
“For us, it is about doing everything we can to help families and excite kids about going back to school. We know when children feel better about themselves, they enter the classroom with a sense of pride and more prepared to learn. So a new hair cut is just one way we can ensure a positive attitude on the first day of school,” said Veronica Conforme, EAA Chancellor.
