Rev. Katrese Kirk

Reverend Katrese Kirk serves as the Pastor of Smith Chapel African Methodist Episcopal Church in Inkster, MI.

She has served as supply pastor of Bethel in Hammond, IN and pastor of Coleman Chapel in Kenosha, WI. She has served as the Youth Pastor at Quinn Chapel AME Church in Chicago; Leader of RAGE (Revealing A Generation of Excellence) an ecumenical movement for young adult women under the umbrella of the Fourth Episcopal District Women’s Missionary Society; one of the founding creators of Impact 2167 a new take on youth ministry under the Fourth Episcopal District Christian Education Congress; and founder of the mission project Beautiful Brown India.

She is a native of Danville, IL and a product of the parsonage, as both her parents are AME pastors. She received her B.A.in Mass Media Communication from Wilberforce University, where she held the title of Miss Wilberforce University 2002. She has a Master of Divinity from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.

Before entering the pastoral ministry Kirk’s ministry was focused on beauty, with a mission to educate, esteem and empower women and girls through the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Kirk’s has worked for Macy’s, Clinique and Fashion Fair Cosmetics, where she has held various management roles in sales, education and marketing. She is currently Regional Education Director for Coty Luxury. Her roles have allowed her to travel to London, Paris, South Africa, Kuwait, Canada and India She is a pastor and motivational speaker who is committed to helping others unlock their purpose and live the abundant life that God has purposed for them.

Kirk is married to Mr. DeAnthony McKenzie.
