Juliana Perry

Guided by the accomplishments of her parents, who were educators and entrepreneurs, after graduating from FAMU’s SBI, Juliana Perry started her career on the regulatory side of banking. As a Loan Analyst with the Federal Reserve Bank/Chicago, she worked with Midwest financial institutions who borrowed from the Discount Window. A supervisor, a retired commercial banker further encouraged her to pursue career options in banking. She applied and was accepted into a formal credit analyst training program at a local Detroit Bank. She had various roles, including an opportunity to start a 3rd party referral business within the bank and write articles for a Business Start Up Series for the Detroit Free Press. Currently, she supports for profit and nonprofit companies; consulting and advising them on financing, cash management and other solutions to help optimize business results. Given her unique perspective, she has focused on sharing financial information and breaking down barriers created by the lack of diversity historically for bankers and business owners. A native of Chicago, Illinois, Juliana is the wife of Duane Brown and mother of Drake Perry Brown
