Cali Crawford

Cali Crawford, Director of Athletics at Schoolcraft College, is a rising star in athletic administration who has established a culture of academic excellence and accountability at the two-year community college in Livonia. Crawford is a tremendous example of overcoming challenges and using athletics as a pathway to a better future. As a child, she struggled with academics, but thanks to support, a tailored approach, motivation to play sports and a lot of hard work, Crawford succeeded. This experience means she takes a special interest in student-athletes who may be struggling with academics because of an unknown or diagnosed challenge. She oversees the Student Athlete Support System to ensure academic success so students can enter the workforce with a certificate or Associate Degree or transition to a four-year institution. Recognized as a thought-leader, Crawford was appointed to Governor Whitmer’s Women in Sports Task Force and holds several key regional leadership positions with the National Junior College Athletic Association. A graduate of Madonna University, where she played basketball, Cali also earned a Master’s in Sports Administration from Eastern Michigan University.
