Central City Health (CCH), a pivotal nonprofit and Federally Qualified Health Center serving Detroit and Wayne County, has proudly announced the appointment of David Holloway as its new Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Kimberly Farrow, President and CEO of Central City Health, expressed her enthusiasm about Holloway joining the team. “We are pleased to announce the appointment of David Holloway as the Chief Operating Officer of Central City Health,” Dr. Farrow stated. “His impressive track record includes successfully managing large teams of employees, overseeing ambulatory clinics, and directing staff in the state’s busiest emergency department.” She emphasized Holloway’s instrumental role in leading community health initiatives, collaborating with health centers, labor organizations, government bodies, and businesses across the Midwestern United States.

Holloway’s credentials are impressive. He holds a master’s degree in administration from Central Michigan University, a bachelor’s degree in health administration from Eastern Michigan University, and a leadership certificate from Wayne State University. His previous roles at University of Michigan Health, Henry Ford Health, Detroit Medical Center, and Blue Cross Blue Shield stand as testament to his leadership and expertise.
His contributions have not gone unnoticed, earning him recognition as Eastern Michigan University’s Distinguished Alumnus of the Year and the Michigan Chronicle Man of Excellence. A true son of Detroit, Holloway’s passion for his community shines through his volunteer work addressing healthcare disparities and supporting the homeless.
