Detroit to Host Transformative Dinner and Workshop Series on Generational Wealth and Community Impact Presented by Bank of America and The Michigan Chronicle

A transformative two-part experience is coming to Detroit this April, inviting changemakers, entrepreneurs, and community leaders to engage in powerful conversations and action-oriented workshops centered on ambition, unity, and generational wealth presented by the Bank of America and The Michigan Chronicle.

On Wednesday, April 23, “Bridging Ambition and Wealth: A Networking Experience for Legacy Builders” will bring together an intimate group of visionaries for an elegant evening of inspiration and connection at the historic Michigan Central Station.

The evening will feature Mark Wilson as the keynote speaker. Wilson is an award-winning entrepreneur and the author of “The Remarkable Power of Us.” In his acclaimed book, Wilson explores the untapped potential within African American communities and highlights the importance of unity in achieving lasting success. Renowned for his visionary leadership and strong commitment to equity, Wilson challenges traditional narratives about success and promotes community collaboration as a blueprint for sustainable progress.

Wilson’s keynote address and book signing will serve as the foundation for an evening filled with meaningful dialogue and high-level networking among Detroit’s most influential business and community leaders. His compelling message calls for a reimagining of individual success, not just as personal gain but as a communal catalyst for progress and shared prosperity.

To keep the momentum going, attendees are encouraged to join the follow-up experience: “From Capital to Legacy: Unlocking Generational Success,” a powerful workshop on Friday, April 25, at the New Lab at Michigan Central Station. Designed to turn ideas into action, this workshop will provide tactical insights on accessing capital, sustainable growth strategies, and building generational wealth, especially in Black and under-resourced communities.

The workshops will feature expert-led sessions, including Securing Your Legacy: Succession Strategies for Businesses, which explores how to preserve and transition ownership across generations; Empowering Black Professionals to Build Wealth Through Real Estate, offering actionable insights into property Investment and Equity Building; and Crafting Your Investment Legacy, focused on long-term financial strategies to ensure lasting impact and generational prosperity.

Private consultations will be available throughout the morning at the Bank of America Lounge, offering personalized guidance to help participants move from planning to execution.
