The Detroit Riverfront Conservancy is thrilled to announce Shimmer on the River, its largest annual fundraiser, kicking off summer early this year with a vibrant riverfront beach party! Held on Monday, June 10th from 5 to 9 pm at Robert C. Valade Park, the event promises an unforgettable evening filled with activities for the whole family.
Summer Fun for All
Guests can expect live music, a bustling Riverfront Boardwalk lined with summer activities, a family-friendly Adventure Park, a special kids’ dance party with karaoke on Valade Beach, and a delicious strolling dinner featuring Detroit’s favorite food trucks.
The highlight of the evening will be the presentation of the Shimmer Awards, honoring Vivian Day and John Stroh, III alongside Robert Alan Davis for their significant contributions to the Detroit Riverfront’s revitalization.

General admission tickets are $150 and include access to the main event from 6 to 9 pm, dinner and refreshments, live entertainment, and free admission for up to two children under 12. VIP tickets are available for $250 and include an exclusive reception with the Shimmer Award ceremony.
