The Detroit Regional Chamber’s Political Action Committee (PAC) Board endorsed former Detroit Medical Center CEO Mike Duggan as a write-in candidate for the August 6 primary for the Detroit mayoral election in November.
“The Chamber and the Detroit business community know and respect Mike Duggan. Mike is a recent former Chamber Board member and we know and applaud his work to turn around the Detroit Medical Center and his strong record of public service as Wayne County prosecutor. Furthermore, we believe the citizens of Detroit deserve the broadest choice of qualified candidates,” said Chamber President and CEO Sandy K. Baruah. “The Chamber looks forward to seeing the outcome of the primary election and evaluating the final two candidates in the general election.”
