The Detroit Police Department launched an extensive promotional campaign to attract potential recruits for the DPD. DPD is looking to hire hundreds of new officers to work in various units around the City of Detroit.
To qualify, you must:
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Possess a valid Driver’s License
- Have a High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- U.S. Citizenship
- No Felony Convictions
Currently, there are 2,220 Detroit Police officers on the force.
