Detroit City Hall evacuated on report of possible gunman

Young Municipal Building were evacuated this morning after officials received reports of a gunman on the loose, lurking though the halls of Deroit City Hall. The building is currently on lockdown, with the evacuation still in effect.
After scores of police cars and emergency vehicles arrived on the scene, a SWAT team was called and officers around the Coleman A. Young Municipal Building and the SWAT team were called in.  Detroit Police department Chief, James Craig told reporters that officers were in the process of securing the building floor by floor.
“There is no threat, no active shooter. We just want to make sure everyone is safe. … There is a possible breach of security.”
Chief James Craig told reporters that someone got past security with a possible handgun in a bag. He said it was a grainy image, so they are not sure if it is a gun.
The city administration center, located at 2 Woodward Ave., at Jefferson, is comprised of a 20-story court tower and a 14-story administrative tower.
