Saunteel-Jenkins According to online news source reports Detroit City Councilwoman Sauteel Jenkins has announced her resignation from Detroit City Council.
Jenkins was named the new CEO of The Heat and Warmth Fund, selected unanimously by the THAW board of directors.
She begins her new role Nov. 10. She is resigning from the city council effective Nov. 7 Jenkins said in a release.

“My entire professional career has been dedicated to serving vulnerable populations and improving the quality of life for all,” Jenkins said in a statement. “THAW provides a rare opportunity to continue that work with Detroiters, and families all over Michigan at a time of great need.”
