The Detroit Children’s Museum will be open to the public from 10 a.m.-3 p.m starting today. The Family Thursday’s theme is “Inventioneering: The Creation of Interesting Things.”
Families will have the opportunity to explore the museum and engage in activities in the Sound and Music Room, Pre K-3 grade Exploration Area, and the Main Gallery. Families will learn about inventors and also be able to invent something of their own.
Considered a tremendous resource for families whose children are enrolled in DPS, the Museum possesses nearly 2 million artifacts and includes a planetarium, Sound and Music Room, “Great Up North” area focusing on Michigan geography and much more.
This is the last Detroit Children’s Museum Family Event of the Summer families are encouraged to attend and take advantage of enrollment opportunities.
The Detroit Children’s Museum is located at 6134 Second Avenue. Children must be chaperoned by an adult.
