Detroiters, get ready to celebrate your city’s pride and heritage on March 13th, also known as 313 Day! Here’s a rundown of some exciting happenings across the city:
Atwater Brewery Taphouse: Raise a glass to Detroit with $3.13 pints and food specials all day long. They’ve partnered with fellow Detroit brands like Faygo, Better Made, and McClure’s Pickles to offer a taste of the city. Festivities kick off at 5 pm, and you can even enter a raffle to win a Detroit-themed basket filled with goodies.
Wine Down Wednesday: Join Brix Wine (1588 Franklin, Downtown Detroit) for wine, pies and vibes featuring sounds by Drake Phifer and Pies by Pizzaman
Craving a Burger? Head to Mister Dips in Parker’s Alley where everything on the menu will be just $3.13. They’ll be open from noon to 10 pm.
The Brakeman (Parker’s Alley): This beer hall is offering a special deal for beer lovers: three beer tokens for $13.
Focus on Health and Wellness: Celebrate 313 Day with a focus on well-being! The Detroit Health and Wellness Fair at 9928 Grand River Avenue aims to promote healthy living and self-care within the community.
McDonald’s Gets Festive: Participating McDonald’s locations are serving up a special 313 Day meal featuring a Filet-O-Fish, fries, a drink, and a Vernors Boston Cooler, a Detroit favorite. Plus, the first 30 customers at each location get a free limited-edition t-shirt.
Free Coney Island Meals: The Michigan First Credit Union is giving away meal vouchers for Lafayette Coney Island or American Coney Island (the choice is yours!) to community members in downtown Detroit between 11 am and 2 pm.
Pistons 313 Day Celebration Presented by Ally: Catch the Detroit Pistons take on the Toronto Raptors while enjoying a variety of 313 Day festivities outside the arena, including inflatables, a Detroit Pistons themed Ally show car, and giveaways. The first 3,130 fans will receive a commemorative chain, and there will be 500 special edition t-shirts by Detroit vs. Everybody and Hip Hues along with live art displays by Allison Sims. The Pistons are also releasing a merchandise collection celebrating Detroit native J. Dilla.
