The City of Detroit faces a housing crisis. This crisis is caused by the absence of affordable housing options for families facing homelessness or substandard housing as the wealth gap has significantly increased, since the pandemic.
Lenders and government programs are offering incentives via loans and outright grants, but they remain the best kept secret.
Many of these programs are not limited to low income recipients. Many people qualify for these benefits. A classic example is a $5,000.00 grant for first time home buyers, which can be used to buy down interest rates for a more affordable payment.
