Bad Meets Evil Artist Royce Da 5’9, Mary Sheffield, and Self Proclaimed “Godfather of Detroit” Artist Trick Trick
In an attempt restore peace and order after a tumultuous weekend filled with unrest, arrest, and an imposed curfew, Monday at 1pm Mary Sheffield will host a rally outside the Detroit Association of Black Organizations building.
Following the outrage from the death of George Floyd at the hands of 4 Minneapolis Police officers, various cities of the U.S. has sparked in an uproar. “It is important that us as leaders come together to denounce the violence” said Sheffield “ We need to disrupt the system that is causing oppression in this country, but it has to be done in a peaceful way.
Artists Royce Da 5’9 and Trick Trick, along with others, will speak at the rally today following the events of this weekend’s protests.
