City of Detroit Office of Inspector General Opens Investigation of the Conduct of Council President Pro-Tem George Cushingberry Jr. on January 7, 2014

DETROIT – The City of Detroit Office of Inspector General (OIG) announces as of January 10, 2014 that is has opened an investigation of the conduct of President Pro-Tem George Cushingberry, Jr. in regards to his interaction with Detroit Police Officers on the night of January 7, 2014. Upon conclusion of the investigation results will be shared with the Mayor’s Office, City Council, Emergency Manager, and the public.
