Corktown Sounds Presents End-of-Summer Spectacle in Detroit’s Historical Neighborhood

The streets of Corktown, Detroit’s most ancient neighborhood, are set to come alive with rhythm, color, and joy as Corktown Sounds heralds its monumental end-of-summer celebration. Attendees from all walks of life are in for a musical treat, gastronomic delights, and a flurry of activities tailored to delight both the young and young-at-heart.

Bob Roberts, President of the Corktown Business Association, expressed immense pride and anticipation for this upcoming festivity. “This vibrant event embodies the spirit of Corktown, showcasing our rich history and bringing our community together,” he declared. Further emphasizing the festival’s essence, Roberts added, “With live music, engaging activities for all ages, and the inviting atmosphere of our beer tent, it’s not just a festival—it’s an experience. I am particularly proud of the fest’s mission: to support our talented local music artists and ensure their voices resonate in our city’s future events.”

True to its mission of community involvement, the Association has put out a call for volunteers. In return for their valued service, volunteers will be granted free access to the festival, coupled with perks such as a drink and food ticket, and an event T-shirt to remember the day.

Tickets for the event are priced at $20, with children aged 12 and under enjoying complimentary entry.

In addition to the stellar music acts, attendees can indulge in food trucks offering a selection of mouth-watering delights and refreshing ciders. Fun-filled activities planned include a bounce house for children, clowns, face painting sessions, pumpkin carving, and lively costume contests.

Craft beer enthusiasts are also in for a treat with the Beer Tent showcasing Chela Familiar (Vienna Lager) and Biergartenbier (German Helles).
