While hosting Saturday Night Live last night for the 5th time, an honor that was given due props during his opening monologue, Justin Timberlake, all the way on his “suit & tie sh*t,” responded to Kanye West‘s highly publicized rant last month during a performance at London’s Hammersmith Apollo.
See Timberlake’s opening monologue below:
As previously reported by NewsOne[1], West, let loose with a rant against music executives, capitalism and most surprisingly, his long-time friend and collaborator, Jay-Z, and music colleague, Timberlake, while performing in February at the Hammersmith.
“Remind me again why we in this shit,” West repeats with rhythmic anger. “Remind me again why the Grammys could suck my d**k. Remind me again who’s the original Super Fly. And, I got nothing but love for Hov, but I ain’t f—ing with that ‘Suit & Tie.”

Then, in what many consider to be a swipe directed at Beyonce and her $50 million sponsorship deal with Pepsi, he dug himself into an even deeper ditch:“Can I sell your drink for you, please?” West says in a sarcastic tone. “So you can help me put on a better show, please, corporations? Can you please support me, please? Me, Kanye West? I swear I’m a nice n—a now. I swear I’ll put the pink Polo back on.”That was viewed by many to be a dig at Mrs. Carter because of her frosty reception of his baby mama, Kim Kardashian, while seeming to welcome Timberlake’s A-List wife, Jessica Biel, with open arms.L: Justin Timberlake, Jessica Biel, Beyonce at 2013 Grammys (PHOTO CREDIT: AP) R: Beyonce, Jay-Z, Kanye, Kim Kardashian at BET Awards (PHOTO CREDIT: Christopher Polk/Getty Images)

In a clear nod to the controversy Saturday night, Timberlake, who brought out Hova for a surprise performance of “Suit & Tie,” switched the lyric “S**t so sick got a hit and picked up a habit” to “My hit’s so sick got rappers acting dramatic.”
Well, West was kind of acting dramatic, so we’re not sure if this can be considered a diss, but it most certainly was a zinger!
