City of Detroit and DDOT come to terms in new agreement

ddotThe city of Detroit and the Bus Drivers’ Union are in agreement on the details of the latest collective bargain agreement.
This marks the first time in five years that both sides have been able to come to terms. The dea details is still unknown but is expected to help improve safety for bus drivers and the efficiency of the busing system for citizens.
The city has slowly integrated newer and energy efficient buses this year.
Mayor Mike Duggan is scheduled to discuss the agreement on Monday along with officials from Amalgamated Transit Union Local 26 and the Detroit Department of Transportation
