How did you know he/she was the one?
We met almost ten years ago when we were students at Cass Tech, but I didn’t know he was the one until we both had to deal with very close personal deaths. I knew Gordon was the one when he stepped up and became my rock during that incredibly difficult time. He let me ugly cry on his shoulder and held my hand the whole time; a few months later he let me do the same for him.
How you you define love as a couple?
Honesty and forgiveness. Knowing that the person closest to you wouldn’t do anything to hurt you intentionally.
Briefly, describe your proposal.
Gordon proposed on Christmas night. We were at his aunt’s house for dinner, and his family kept asking what big news he had as soon as we walked in. They almost gave it away because I didn’t know about any big news. After several questions from aunts and uncles, he was sort of forced to pop the question as not to give anything up. He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him
