Chandler Park Academy School District Hosts Free Community Health, Awareness Fair

The annual fair will offer free health and wellness resources offered throughout the community in partnership with Oakland University

Chandler Park Academy School District (CPA) and Oakland University’s William Beaumont School of Medicine (OUWB) will host their 11th
Annual Family & Community Health Fair on Friday, January 20th, 2023 from 3:00pm- 6:00pm at Chandler Park Academy high School. The
Health Fair is presented in honor of Martin Luther King Jr.’s day of service.

The health fair holds an annual mission of educating, and introducing the Harper Woods/ Chandler Park community of health and wellness resources housed in their own communities. The event will also provide a hands-on experience for CPA medical students to present and educate to not only their peers, but to community members and a part of their hands-on curriculum.

The event will offer over 8 health screening tables including, free flu shots, glucose, blood pressure, cholesterol and vision screenings and more than 19 community resources present such as Matrix Human Family Services, Michigan Health Council and Detroit Wayne Integrated Mental Health Network.

There will also be flowing health presentations by both OUWB Medical Students and CPA Medical and Health Careers students.

The Health Fair will take place Friday, January 20th, 2023 from 3:00 – 6:00 pm. Chandler Park Academy High School located at 20254 Kelly Road (south of eight mile) in Harper Woods.
