FERGUSON, Mo. — Thousands of Michael Brown supporters and mourners squeezed into the Friendly Temple Missionary Baptist Church until the sanctuary bulged at the seems. Millions more watched the premature home-going services on television or via live stream.
Celebrities also joined on the ceremonious and somber sendoff of the 18-year-old young man who would have been starting his second week of college classes had he not been gunned down in the middle of the day by Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson on Aug. 9.
