Kyrie Irving, the Cleveland Cavaliers emerging superstar point guard, attained overnight international fame after he boldly splashed the game-winning 3-point shot in the face of the two-time MVP and beloved Steph Curry to vault the LeBron James-led franchise over the heavily favored Golden State Warriors.
With exponentially increased fame, however, comes substantially increased scrutiny. Particularly on his love of white women.
After the celebratory parade, Irving hosted a yacht party. Nothing wrong there.
The problem that Twitter had with Irving’s bash was that it was filled with scores of white women and not a single black female — or any women of color — could be found on the fancy boat.
Twitter absolutely destroyed Irving for his singular choice of party participants. Take a look:
