Former TV child star Gary Coleman died this morning at the Regional Medical Center of Utah, after suffering a brain hemorrhage resulting from a fall at his home Wednesday.
When a reporter asked Janet Jackson how she had survived the (overblown) so-called “wardrobe malfunction” and its ugly aftermath, she calmly required, “You hold your head up and keep moving. It’s going to be okay.”
It’s a good thing — once you’re of a certain age — to be able to look over your life up to this point and be able to recall many memorable things you’ve been told and remember conversations you were privy to.

Following the recent “Dateline NBC” misleading report on Detroit, New York R&B and AfroJazz star Koleurz is lending her powerful voice in support of the city, asking the news media, businesses, nonprofits and policy makers to “show Detroit some love, more so now that it is slowly recovering from the pounding effects of the seismic shift in the global economy.”
It is always discouraging to encounter people who make no effort to appreciate, or even listen to, any kind of new music. They say none of it is any good and imply that everything was great in the past.
The talented and personable Kevin Eubanks is so firmly established as bandleader/music director on “The Tonight Show” with Jay Leno that people forget, if they ever knew, that the guitarist is also an established performing and recording artist.
