Brandy has reportedly been hospitalized.
According to TMZ, EMS was called to the R&B singer’s Los Angeles home on Tuesday (October 11) after she had what is believed to have been a seizure. Sources told the outlet that Brandy was taken to a local hospital, where she has remained and is expected to recover.
The 43-year-old singer’s parents have reportedly been by her side. The cause of the alleged seizure has not been reported.
News of Brandi’s hospitalization comes days after her brother, Ray J, posted a series of alarming Instagram posts about contemplating suicide. In the since-deleted posts, Ray J wrote, “If it wasn’t 4 my Kidz I would jump off and die tonight.” In a separate post, the 41-year-old reality TV star showed his feet hanging off the side of a ledge and captioned the picture, “SHOULD I JUST JUMP off and end it rit [sic]. Now!!! ????”
Ray J additionally wrote on his Instagram Story that he was “trying to figure it out” and that “maybe this life was a [sic] illusion.” He added, “maybe the next life was my real reality.”
Brandi later shared a public message of support to her brother, posting a throwback photo of them with the caption, “Need you bro @rayj 🙏🏽.”
