BET Honors Airs Tonight


Tonight at 9pm/8C we celebrate -alongside with BET- the lives and achievements of African Americans. The BET Honors, now in its sixth year was established by Black Entertainment Television to highlight and showcase the success of African Americans during Black History Month. Tonight honorees include: veteran Grammy Award singing artist, Arteha Franklin; founder of Motown and our very own, Berry Gordy; first African-American CEO of a Fortune 500 company, Kenneth Chenault; music artist, TV producer, and founding member of N.W.A., Ice Cube; South African revolutionary, politician, and philanthropist and former South African President, Nelson Mandela; and visual artist, Carrie Mae Weems.
The show will kick off with the host for the evening renaissance men, Wayne Brady. Throughout the night we can expect to be entertained by a variety genre of music from Mariah Carey, Janelle Monáe, Jennifer Hudson, Tamar Braxton, Smokey Robinson, and Karen Clark Sheard.
