Worst: Terrence Howard elicits a lot of emotions out of his audience and pop culture observers, including occasional embarrassment and disgust. We’re still trying to figure what the star of the mega-blockbuster “Empire” show was doing onstage with those very dramatic, pregnant pause while announcing the last three nominees for Best Picture (Imitation Game, Whiplash and Selma). It was strange and very uncomfortable. You could almost hear the collective click of millions of TV remotes to another channel to avoid the awkward moment. The audience inside the Dolby Theater had to sit there and digest it with constipated looks on their faces.
