Plenty snowfalls, cold weather, and ice cap streets; we’re all ready for the summer. But this summer in the “D” will be more than ice cream, and water parks, it will be a production. We welcome yet another movie filming right here in our hometown and upon screening we can expect special guest, Ben Affleck and wife Jennifer Garner. The couple will be packing up and moving their three kids for the summer for the production of “Batman vs. Superman“- producers are not sold on the name yet- but the shooting, and production will take place in Detroit. Affleck will star as Bruce Wayne/Batman in the sequel of “Man of Steel”, that will feature both Batman and Superman.
Director Zack Snyder has also looked into locations in the city of East Lansing for the film. Scheduled to start filming this Spring, “Batman vs. Superman” will hit theaters May 2016. The Motor City is becoming the new stumping ground for productions, under our repertoire includes “How to Catch A Monster,” “Oz: The Great and Powerful,” and new highly anticipated “Transformers 4.” Besides automobile, motown, and casinos, we can confidently add movie production to our resume.
