Bank of America Taps Star Crawford as Market Executive for Detroit

Bank of America recently announced that Estrella (Star) Crawford has been named Market Executive for the Detroit local market.

Star will work in partnership with the local market president and leadership team directing local market strategy, employee engagement, business integration and investments that help to drive and respond to community and economic development and critical needs in metro Detroit.

Star joined Bank of America in 2004. She most recently held a position as community relations manager for the Detroit Local Market Team. Previously Star worked with the bank as a relationship manager for the bank’s Consumer Risk Operations Group, Change Consultant for the National Associate Experience Team, Quality Manager, and Senior Business Control Specialist in the Enterprise Fraud Division.

Star engages in leadership for the bank’s Michigan Employee Resource Groups as an advisor for the Hispanic/Latino Organization for Leadership & Advancement (HOLA) and Black Professionals Group (BPG). Additionally, she participates in the metro Detroit community as a mentor for Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Wayne State University Center for Latino/a and Latin American Studies. Star also serves on the Board of Directors for SER Metro-Detroit, a public service organization focusing on adult education and youth programming.

Star attended Morris Brown College in Atlanta, GA where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Modern Foreign Languages with a concentration in Spanish. Star also earned a Master of Business Administration degree from American InterContinental University with a focus on Technology Management.

Star is originally from Staten Island, New York, but tor the past 10 years, has called Detroit home with her husband and their three boys.
