Bank of America Announces Applications Available for 2022 Student Leaders Program

High school juniors and seniors encouraged to apply for a rewarding paid summer internship

DETROIT — Bank of America is now accepting applications for the 2022 Student Leaders® program through January 28, 2022. For metro Detroit students interested in a rewarding summer internship, with a passion for community engagement, this summer initiative is a great opportunity. The Student Leaders program is part of the bank’s ongoing commitment to recognize youth who lead and serve in their communities and beyond, connecting young people with the tools and resources inspiring them to make a positive difference.

“We’re excited to help prepare a diverse pipeline of community-minded students by providing them an opportunity to build their workforce and leadership skills,” said Matt Elliott, President, Bank of America Michigan. “Although the students come from diverse backgrounds, they are united by their drive and commitment to practical work and life experiences. Many students use their new-found skills to create positive change and improve lives, through their enthusiastic commitment to their communities.”

Each year, the program connects more than 300 high school juniors and seniors from nearly 100 communities to employment, skills development and service. It awards paid summer jobs at a local nonprofit organization, participation in a national leadership summit and learning financial skills through Bank of America’s Better Money Habits®.
