Attorney: Ralph Was Shot Because he Was Black, Mr. Lester Feared His Blackness

A Kansas City community is in uproar following the shooting of 16-year-old Ralph Yarl. He mistakenly rang the door bell of a home where he attempted to pick up his siblings before being shot twice by the homeowner.
 
Yarl is at home recovering after bullets pierced his head and arm.
84-old-year Andrew Lester is charged with assault in the first degree. He posted bond and has pleaded not guilty.
