Auntie Nita is finally coming home, and “No One In The World” could be happier than Detroit!
Anita Baker’s last official concert in Detroit was in 1995, and since that time, the songstress has had limited engagements. In 2018 Baker announced a return to the stage in a farewell tour; however, Detroit was not on the list.
In January, Baker announced a return to her residency at the Venetia Hotel in Las Vegas. Yet, there was still no mention of Detroit — until today.
In a tweet she released early this morning, Baker shared that she would be performing in Detroit at Little Caesars Arena, with a tease that tickets officially go on sale next week.

Baker shared in March 2021 her ongoing battle to obtain her masters, which many had speculated was one of the reasons for her limited touring — however, in September 2021 Baker shared in a tweet that her children (masters) were coming home.
