Beloved anchor Al Roker was rushed back to the hospital amid his ongoing health issues.

According to Page Six, Roker, 68, was taken to the hospital via ambulance after becoming ill on Friday (November 25). The health scare came one day after Roker missed the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade for the first time in 27 years as he had just been released from the hospital.

“Al was taken from his home in a stretcher back to the hospital on Friday, the day after Thanksgiving,” a witness told Page Six. “His condition was worrying, but once back in the hospital he improved.”

Roker was initially hospitalized earlier this month due to blood clots in his leg and lungs.

As he was swept away by the ambulance Friday, Roker’s wife, Deborah Roberts, reportedly struggled to get inside of her Tesla to follow her husband to the hospital due to a malfunction with the car.

Roberts attempted to smash through a glass window on the front side of the car with the help of a neighbor outside of their New York home, according to a witness.

“His wife, Deborah, was understandably very upset,” the witness said. “She had left her phone and other possessions inside their Tesla, which had malfunctioned and wouldn’t unlock, so she was trying to smash in a window.”

The witness said Roberts’ attempt to break into the car was “unsuccessful.”

“Deborah then went to the hospital by taxi with her daughter, where Al has since been surrounded by his family,” the witness added.
