The African World Festival is a three-day extravaganza that showcases the essence and diversity of the African Diaspora. With a wide range of engaging activities and entertainment, this celebration serves as a platform to honor our shared past, celebrate our present achievements, and envision a promising future. From headliner acts to captivating stages filled with entertainment, and more than 125 vendors offering a plethora of goods and services, this festival promises a memorable experience for attendees of all ages.

On Friday, the African World Festival will commence with a captivating official opening ceremony, setting the stage for an incredible day of festivities. The schedule is packed with engaging activities, starting with games and screenings of inspiring short films. Attendees will be treated to a diverse range of performances, including the soul-stirring melodies of the Detroit Youth Choir and the electrifying Parliament Funkadelic featuring George Clinton.
