Cindy Pasky is a CEO and successful businesswoman at her company, Strategic Staffing Solutions, who has cracked the proverbial glass ceiling more times than she can probably count.
It only makes sense, then that the driven leader was recognized recently by The Wayne State University Mike Ilitch School of Business, which recently announced Pasky, also founder and president of Strategic Staffing Solutions, as the 2021 recipient of its signature Michigan Executive of the Year Award.
Established in 1999, the Michigan Executive of the Year Award recognizes an individual in a senior leadership position at a business, government, or nonprofit organization that is based in or has a substantial presence in the state of Michigan. The primary criteria for selection of this award are recent or ongoing actions by the honoree and/or his or her organization that are likely to reflect positively on the state of Michigan and the disciplines researched and taught within the Mike Ilitch School of Business, according to a press release.
Pasky founded Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3) in 1990 with four benchmarks that became the corporate pillars:
· Set the bar high for what a corporation should do
· Create jobs
· Offer people an opportunity to succeed and change their station in life
· Make community and charity work a core part of the company’s business
Pasky leads by example and is actively involved in civic and community organizations globally. She serves as chair of the Detroit Downtown Partnership Board of Directors, the Michigan Workforce Development Board, co-chair of the Mayor’s Workforce Development Board, and is a member of Business Leaders for Michigan Board of Directors. She is the Founding Chair of the American-Lithuanian Business Council and serves on the Investor Advisory Committee of the Government of Lithuania.
She serves on the board of directors for the Michigan Humane Society, Community Foundation for Southeast Michigan, Wayne State University Foundation, and the Foreign Investment Advisory and Supervision Council in Lithuania. Additionally, she is past chair of the Detroit Regional Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors and still serves as a member emeritus.
