Rainbow PUSH Coalition (RPC), in partnership with the Citizen Education Fund and Push Excel, is set to hold its annual international convention, June 18-22.

RPC is an international membership organization that pushes for social change and equality for all citizens through advocacy, policy, and community work. The theme for this year’s convention will be “Make America Free and Equal: Pushing for New Markets in 2022,” which will feature many distinguished session speakers on topics of economic justice, voting rights, education, and social impact.

“Our mission is to protect, defend, and gain civil rights by leveling the economic and educational playing fields, and to promote peace and justice around the world,” the RPC website states.

The coalition was formed in 1996 by Reverend Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. after he merged his other founding organizations, People United to Serve Humanity and the Rainbow Coalition, together.

A sponsor of the upcoming convention, the Citizen Education Fund is a 501(c) (3) and an Affiliate of the Rainbow PUSH Coalition that drives government and economic participation for the disenfranchised.

RPC, formerly known as PUSH Excel, also fights for equal educational opportunities for students who face systemic barriers because of their race and/or economic background.
