Tyler Perry was in Detroit Tuesday for an advance screening of his new movie “Boo! A Madea Halloween”
Perry walked the red carpet at the Emagine Theatre in Royal Oak. When asked what the inspiration was that prompted a Halloween inspired comedy? Perry said,”Blame it on Chris Rock.”
The film originated from Perry and Chris Rock including a fictitious Madea Halloween movie in Rock’s 2014 film “Top Five.” Lionsgate then approached Perry and suggested that they make the movie.
The film opens nationwide on October 21.
