DETROIT – MDOT will begin construction on more than five miles of Woodward between 14 Mile Road and Oakridge Boulevard in Pleasant Ridge beginning Tuesday.

To minimize the impact of the construction on commuters, lane closures will be restricted to overnight during the weekdays and all times on weekends.

The construction will be suspended during big event times such as Arts, Beats and Eats and the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Median crossovers will also be closed during times of construction and traffic will be detoured to the next available crossover.

Construction is expected to be complete in November.
