The Omega Epsilon Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. will host its Second Annual Community Baby Shower on Saturday, September 14, 2024, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Novi Civic Center. Following last year’s successful event, which supported Gianna’s House, a program aiding struggling mothers and newborns, this year’s focus will be on Because of His Love Outreach, a Metro Detroit organization dedicated to empowering families.
Because of His Love Outreach was founded in 2008 by Alwyn and Vickee Walker and has been providing education and resources to pregnant women, their children, and fathers. Now led by their daughter Lesley and her husband Robert, the organization continues its mission of supporting families in need.
Omega Epsilon Omega invites the community to participate in the baby shower, which will include games, music, and fellowship. The chapter is collecting donations of diapers, wipes, baby lotion, soap, onesies, bibs, and baby books for Because of His Love Outreach.
