The Alfredine Jordan Wiley Scholarship, Inc. Board of Directors sponsored its 12th Annual Scholarship Fundraiser on Saturday, March 28, 2015 with a matinee performance at the Detroit Repertory Theatre. At the event, the Board recognized the 2015 Trailblazer, Tyrone E. Winfrey, who was the first Chief of the Education Achievement Authority of Michigan. As the former Associate Director in the office of Undergraduate Admissions and Director of the University of Michigan Detroit Admissions Office, he addressed the academic preparation, recruitment, application review, admission and advancement of higher education opportunities in urban communities across the nation.
