“A Night Out with PINK PUMP” was West Elm’s first-ever collaborative pop-up shop retail event. The event featured award-winning visual artist, Barbara Johnson of Walls of Virtue and the Detroit Garment Group, a non-profit that cultivates education and economic development opportunities for Michigan’s fashion community. Both PINK PUMP and West Elm offered special discounts and sales with a portion of the proceeds benefiting the Detroit Garment Group. Guests were able to enjoy tranquilizing sounds by Andre, The Cool DJ, delectable fare provided by Platinum Chef Catering and calming spirits poured by Eliot Banks, Bankable Marketing. About 150 people attended yesterday’s magical event in support of Women’s History Month.
“A Night Out with PINK PUMP at West ELM” bestowed a chance to highlight the excellent work of Michigan’s art and fashion industry leaders in addition to celebrating the work and community efforts of the Detroit Garment Group.
