LOS ANGELES — The heads of whomever dressed KeKe Palmer for the 2014 BET Awards should still be rolling down Wilshire Boulevard like bowling balls. It was an epic fail, disaster personified, and an outfit that she didn’t even look like she wanted to wear.
We suppose the Akela and the Bee actress was not able to capitalize enough off of her starring role as Chilli in “CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story, because she is trying too hard to shed her little kid aura.
She was not the only person to commit a fashion faux pas or gaffe at the 2014 BET Awards at the Nokia Theater in downtown L.A.
Take a look at the bad and worst from the annual musical soiree.
The Worst: What is that on the right?!?
Bad: Chris Brown’s performance was stellar, but his wardrobe was horrible.
This is pure confusion, more confusing than the reason behind the folks who initially casted her to play Aaliyah.
The Bad AND Worst: We don’t know what was worse — Lil Wayne’s look, his wardrobe or his constant use of the N-word.
Richie: Lionel Richie got a standing ovation from the very people who spent decades criticizing him for his “easy listening” and “soft rock” music and for not being Michael Jackson. Speaking of which, they referred to photos of The King of Pop during Richie’s tribute which garnered screams from the crowd and took away the focus away from Richie.
Bad: No, Usher. Just no.
The Worst: trends usually come and go within a few years. But it’s been over 20 years since the likes of Tupac began wearing sagging pants. And it just won’t go away.
Worse: An epic fashion faux pas.
