ST. JOSEPH MERCY OAKLAND INVITES THE PUBLIC TO FREE SEMINAR ON TREATING SHOULDER PAIN

St. Joseph Mercy Oakland (SJMO) invites the public to a free, orthopedics seminar to be held at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, in the hospital’s Franco Communications Center, 44405 Woodward Ave., Pontiac.

Orthopedic surgeon Matt Bahu, MD, will speak on “Shoulder Pain: A Minimally Invasive Approach.” A subsequent seminar will be held at 6 p.m. Oct. 28, when Bruce Henderson, MD, will speak on “Back Pain: How You Can Prevent It or Stop It Without Surgery.”

Conducted by SJMO’s experienced and skilled orthopedic specialists, these seminars will focus on SJMO’s comprehensive team approach to orthopedics, a wide range of orthopedic procedures offered at St. Joe’s and joint replacement. Attendees will learn how the orthopedic surgeons at SJMO are improving patients’ quality of life every day.

The orthopedic seminars are free and open to the public. Light refreshments will be served. Free parking is available on the north side of the hospital, adjacent to the Franco Communications Center and Medical Office Building.
