Professional Medical Center offers mobile mammography

Professional Medical Center to Heighten Breast Cancer Awareness by hosting Mobile Mammography Unit at East Side Medical Center
 
Professional Medical Center (PMC) will help promote the importance of receiving an annual mammogram by hosting a mobile mammography unit on Tuesday, November 10 from 10am – 4pm at their medical center located at 3956 Mt. Elliott Street on Detroit’s east side. The mobile unit is sponsored by St. John Providence and Anthony Soave, President and Chief Executive Officer of Soave Enterprises. The event aims to serve the community by offering early detection testing at no cost to women 40 years-of-age and older living in Wayne County.  The mobile mammography motor coach is a convenient way for women living in the local community that may not have viable transportation to visit a testing center to receive a mammogram.
“Breast Cancer is the second most common cancer affecting women today. Making time to get an annual mammogram is important and can save your life. The mobile unit is designed to service women regardless of their ability to pay or travel to a full service-imaging center. This is an opportunity to educate women about breast cancer, who should be tested and how often. Early detection can be a life saver,” said Dr. Omosalewa Itauma.  Dr. Omosalewa Itauma, the newest provider with Professional Medical Center who specializes in OB/GYN and women’s care.
