One of the connecting points between the United States and Canada, the Ambassador Bridge, has temporarily closed down while police investigate potential explosives in the area, Detroit Patch reported.
Reports from Windsor Police detail that the area was recently evacuated and the bridge is currently closed in both directions, according to the article. People were also told to avoid the area.
The department’s explosive disposal unit is on the scene.
Officers are moving along traffic to nearby ports of entry, including the Windsor Detroit Tunnel and Blue Water Bridge.
